Hello.

My name is Tony, I am from the Netherlands (Europe) and I have a '71 El Camino.
I have the car for 12 years now.
In 2009 I started restoring the car with my father.
We're almost done now but we have some issues with the brake system.

These are the parts we are using:
-6872FRBK-BB (the big brake kit)
With
-CP31500-C (MCPV-1)
And stock booster.

Yesterday we got a little bit of lock at the rear discs.
Last week we had full lock at the rear discs.
We get no lock at all at the front discs.
Brake lines are not leaking.
Bleeding the front takes far too long, been trying to get it to work for a couple of days now.
The way we connected everything must be right.

Do we need to remove the metering valve?
Could that be the problem?

Greetings,
Tony.

The kit is bolted on 2 years ago.
After checking we've noticed that we removed the metering valve already 2 years ago.

Been bleeding the brakes for a full day now.
Still no working brakes in the front.

Make sure the rear ebrake is adjusted and the cables are hooked up. Each caliper rear lever needs to be hand ratcheted till all excessive travel is gone. Basically work the lever back and forth by hand untill you feel the extra travel go away.
Then hook up the cables and take all slack out. At this point you should only have a few clicks from the ebrake handle/pedal to engauge the brakes. Bleed out the system longest line to shorted line and the pedal should be up and have good pressure.
