• Speedway Motors Introduces New Line of 1947-1954 Chevy Pickup Chassis Components

Speedway Motors has announced the release of its new line of Bolt-Together Chassis Components for 1947-1954 Chevy pickup trucks. The new components will allow a builder to assemble a complete frame using only hand tools and a drill, said the company.

The new line of parts includes frame rails, which are built from laser-cut 7-gauge steel plate; an IFS crossmember that features adjustable upper spring seats interlocking boxing plates for additional strength; a triangulated four-bar rear suspension kit that includes a 9-inch rearend housing, a center frame support that reinforces the frame, engine mounts for small-block Chevys and LS V-8s, a fuel tank support brace and a radiator support.

All of the chassis components are designed to bolt on and work together without any welding. The parts will also fit the stock frame of a 1947-1954 Chevy half-ton pickup truck, said the company.
