ANTIQUE AUTO MUSEUM AT HERSHEY ANNOUNCES
PHILADELPHIA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ALYCIA CICALE WINNER OF ITS RETAIL STORE LOGO CONTEST

HERSHEY, PA, March 2 2010 – The Antique Auto Museum at Hershey (AACA), dedicated to the celebration, preservation, education, and display of motor vehicle history, today announced Alycia Cicale, a senior at Franklin Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, PA, as the winner of its "Dog House Garage Store New Logo Contest.” The contest offered aspiring student artists from Pennsylvania high schools the opportunity to create a new logo for the museum’s retail store, win prizes and a promising start at a graphic design career. The selection of Ms. Cicale’s design marks the culmination of a six-month long competition that drew numerous entries from high school students across the state.

"Boy was this tough,” said Holly Bedsole, Executive Director, The Antique Auto Museum at Hershey. “We had so many fantastic entries and you wish you could pick them all. Of course there can only be one winner. Alycia’s design just hit all the marks: beauty, simplicity, functionality, and the spirit of our organization. We’re thrilled.” The contest was judged by a panel assembled by the Museum. The winning image will be utilized in and on the store itself, the retail store webpage, shopping bags, signage, social media outlets (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, etc), and other store-related promotions. Ms. Cicale’s design will be seen nationally and internationally as the marketing image of the store. All proceeds from the retail store benefit the operation of the nonprofit Museum. “We’re very proud to have offered this opportunity to PA high school students,” said Rochelle Coslow-Robinson, Retail Operations Manager, Dog House Garage Store “It’s easy to hire a professional design company to come up with a logo, but it’s far more rewarding to have students show their stuff and involve the Pennsylvania community.”

Ms. Cicale prize package will be presented to her on February 26th, at 12 noon with letters of commendation from the Pennsylvanian offices of Senator Michael J. Stack and Representative Michael P. McGeehan. Ms. Cicale will also receive:
      ·A Visa Gift Card
      ·A leather artists portfolio
·A letter of reference from the Executive Director of the Museum.
·A mounted, matte-finished presentation of her design.

Additionally, Ms. Cicale and her family will be invited to the official unveiling of the new logo at the Museum in Summer 2010.
