• Lincoln Electric Launches Tomahawk™ 625 Plasma Cutting System

Lincoln Electric has launched the new Tomahawk™ 625 plasma cutting system, a model in a new comprehensive line. This system is lightweight and portable enough to carry to any shop or jobsite where an external compressed air source is available.
Designed for plasma cutting on mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper, the Tomahawk 625 is ideal for on-site maintenance, service tasks, small construction sites, HVAC work, demolition and rental applications.
The Tomahawk 625 operates on 208 or 230 volt single phase 60 or 50 Hz input power. It produces 10-40 amps output and is rated at 40 amps at 96 volts, 35 percent duty cycle. The unit’s continuous output control focuses the arc for up to 1/2 inch recommended, 5/8 inch maximum and 3/4 inch severance cut thicknesses.

This model includes a standard LC40 plasma cutting torch, integrated water separator, air regulator and pressure gauge, cables, spare expendable parts and a handy shoulder strap. Tomahawk models can be powered with Lincoln Electric engine-driven welder/generators, including the Ranger® and Vantage® lines.

A Touch Start system delivers reliable plasma arc initiation without high frequency while rapid arc restrike capability ensures users can quickly cut through gaps and expanded metal.
The front-panel purge control makes it easy to adjust air flow without initiating an arc. New electrode and nozzle designs prolong the life of expendable parts for cost efficiency, while keeping operating temperatures cool.

The Tomahawk line also features the Lincoln Electric Parts-in-Place system that detects proper installation of the torch and consumables for added safety.
