Real Deal Steel has announced the release of its new steel 1957 convertible skeleton. The skeleton is the complete main body structure, less the exterior skins, which are available at an additional cost. The skeleton includes the full floor and trunk floor with all braces and supports, firewall/cowl/A-pillar and windshield frame assembly.

It also includes the inner and outer rocker panels, inner quarters, trunk walls and wheelhouse panels and the complete trunk hinge assembly. All of the components are fixture-welded and ready for an exterior skin to be installed.

SAR’s Tru-Fit fenders are stamped from brand new tooling patterned after original design and dimensions. Fitment to ’34 model cars should be exact while ’33 model cars will require very minor modifications, if in fact any, at the lower grille areas. Front fenders fit 2/4 Door Sedans, Roadster, Cabriolet, 3/5-Window Coupes. Rear Fenders fit Roadster, Cabriolet, 3/5-Window Coupes and Sedans with pre-scribed minor trimming. These brand new fenders are more expensive than the reproduction fenders that have been available in the past, but they are correct unlike the others. The outer bead on the Brand “X” fenders are too wide and has a peaked crease in the center. Also Brand “X” fenders do not have a consistent arch to the wheel well opening when viewed from the side. They also just plain do not fit cars. There is much cutting and welding to make them fit a car. A complete line of custom billet aluminum fender/core support braces for first- and second-generation Camaros has been introduced by Eddie Motorsports.
The complete fender brace assemblies are CNC-machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum and are available in two styles: a fixed rectangular assembly and a round adjustable model which incorporates two 3/8-inch rod ends. The fender braces are sold in pairs and can be purchased with a raw machined or polished finish. A variety of Fusioncoated color finishes are also available.

The braces are designed to replace the stock steel components and are a direct bolt-on part with no cutting or drilling required, said the company. They come with all necessary stainless steel fasteners required for installation.

Superior Glass Works today announced the addition of a one-piece, fiberglass, hood top for the 1941-1946 Chevrolet pickup and panel trucks. This hood maintains the original size, shape, bead lines, and dimensions of the stock, two-piece, center hinged hood so it will mate up perfectly with your vintage cab and grill. To achieve the custom, hot rod look, the center hinge has been smoothed and the gap at the front of the hood has been filled. Superior Glass Works has been producing one-piece hoods for other popular Chevrolet cars and trucks for many years, and are excited about this latest addition for these popular “Art Deco” Chevy trucks. Detroit Speed has introduced new front inner fenders that are designed to fit 1962-1967 Chevy II vehicles equipped with the company’s Chevy II Front Frame. The new front inner fenders will completely hide the Front Frame Down Bars, resulting in a neat and clean under-hood appearance, said the company.

MAR-K now makes stainless link assemblies, which are used in custom applications for replacing old tailgate chains. Available for GM 54-87 (and now for 34-87 GM Stepsides, 53-87 Ford Flaresides and 48-85 Dodge Highside Stepsides), each pair includes links, upper and lower pivots and installation hardware.
