The engineers at FAST™ have taken the XIM™ to a whole new level. The coil-on plug ignition controller, originally developed for use with FAST™ XFI™ systems, is now available in a standalone kit for GM LS1/LS6 and LS2/LS3/LS7, Ford Modular, and 5.7L and 6.1L Hemi engines.

These kits enable programmable control of the popular late model coil-on plug ignition systems, independent of the fuel delivery method or any factory computer. The Standalone XIM™ features easy-to-use on-board dials to create a customizable timing curve (instead of using a collection of pre-set curves) and to adjust a vacuum advance feature and rev limiter.

Prestolite Performance has announced the release of the Mallory FireStorm, a new ignition control system designed to give the user precision and control through customizable software. The Mallory Firestorm has a comprehensive system that includes one of three types of ignition boxes: a multi-channel capacitive discharge (CD) box, a single-channel CD box and an LS box. The multi-channel CD box will fire up to eight coils and runs both modular and Hemi motors. It will also convert a conventional V-8 into a multi-coil application to allow individual cylinder timing.

The single-channel CD box is designed for conventional single coil on a conventional four-, six- or eight-cylinder engine. The LS box will run any LS platform, including the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7 and LS9. It offers the option to change engine types and is designed to work with OEM or aftermarket smart coils. The three boxes deliver the same capabilities and power and offer 13 different applications based on configurations and accessories, as well as hundreds of custom options, said the company.

Phantom Products has announced the release of its new Touch-n-Go Starter System, which the company describes as the industry’s first touch-sensitive starter system with interactive LED display. Made as a direct replacement for standard keyed ignitions, this unit simulates the five common ignition positions with five different color modes showing if the vehicle’s ignition is off, in accessory mode, in ignition mode, crank mode or running.

Touch-n-Go features a tach-less input that allows for easy installation with any type engine. It will accept input from any momentary switch, including popular OEM ignition switches. The system’s built-in circuitry monitors the state of engine to determine when it’s running. A retained accessory option keeps accessories live for 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off or until the door is opened. A theft-deterrent pulsing red light is engaged when the vehicle is off.

Most Mopar, Ford, and pre-’74 GM vehicles are equipped with OE resistor ignition feed wires. PerTronix Ignitor II and III ignition systems require a full 12-volt power connection between the ignition switch and the positive coil terminal, which requires bypassing the ballast resistor or resistor wire, and in many cases, the original resistor wire is buried in the vehicle’s wiring harness. Adding a PerTronix power relay will eliminate digging through the wiring harness and replacing wires. This 30-amp relay kit can also be used with the original Ignitor conversion kits or to power accessories as well.

This electronic module replaces the ordinary dimmer switch. When the headlight switch is on, the module resets to the low beam circuit. Alternate momentary grounds switch between low and high beam headlight circuits. The module accommodates standard sealed beam and Halogen headlights in two- and four-light configurations and includes a 30-amp circuit breaker. The module takes the current load off the headlight switch. Instead of passing power to the low and high beam circuits, the headlight switch simply provides a “headlights on” signal to the module.

This harness will adapt to G.M., Ford, and Mopar as a cut to fit harness. This harness is based on G.M. color codes. Each group of wires are long enough to adapt to almost any street rod. All of our harnesses are built with GXL type wire that is intended for use in the engine compartment where higher heat resistance is required.

Each of our harnesses are equipped with a coil kill switch. This switch kills power to the coil while allowing power to flow freely to the rest of the vehicle. This switch is used as a safety future when you park your vehicle.
