    Default Jeep Steering Box

I'm very interested in replacing the worn out steering box on my 1976 CJ-7 with one of your new steering boxes #CP50004. I do a lot of off road driving in the rocks and wonder if your new steerting box will hold up to off road abuse? I run 31 inch tires which are pretty small for today's standards but still work the Jeep pretty hard. Thank You.

    Good Afternoon,

Our engineer has one is his Jeep and he loves it. He is not easy on his car either! They work great.

Very good to know. I would hate to be in the middle of nowhere and have steering box failure. I've seen a few newer Jeeps with giant tires break off the selector shaft right at the Pittman arm. That's the kind of break down you can't fix in the field.
