    Default CPP Tilt Column

Has anyone used the CPP tilt column for 55-56 Chevy? How do you like it? Does the tilt column with shifter extended into the car as far as the Ididit columns? Thanks Mike

On a 55-56 chevy the column will come out about the same as an ididit. you need the room for the tilt and the column shift application...

Aaron, does your #5556OSC-K still allow the use of the original gear selector indicator? And will it work with a 700R indicator lens? Thanks Mike

Yes, the column is notched and has the tab in it to actuate the shift indicator in the dash. This will work with all trans except the powerglide Iron type (reversed)

    Question

    Aaron,

How does your column compare to the Ididit as far as quality. I am very interested since I am putting PS in my car this winter and just need the column or adapt my stock column.

Also, on the economy column can I use a 58/59 chevy steering wheel or a downsized 57 chevy wheel.

    I have a 670/500 box.

Would a rag joint be the proper coupler to purchase?

I see you have lifetime warrantee on your products so that is why I want to buy from CPP.

    Thanks for your help.

PS, I am a CT member but haven't gotten a response to my post there so I discovered this forum on you website and asked my questions here.

    Good Morning,
The CPP column is a good budget minded column. being an economy type column it is a good choice for someone on a budget. for the higher end builds the IDIDIT would be a premium line choice.

The rag joint would be a 1DD to 3/4x30. as for the stock wheels you will see a small gap between the wheel and the column. On Ididit brand they make a small ring that goes on the back of the wheel that fills this gap.
