Edelbrock's Original Flathead Ford "Slingshot" Intake Manifold

Re-Released Into Production

The Edelbrock Slingshot intake manifold was the first ever product manufactured and sold with the Edelbrock brand logo. Recognized as one of Hot Rod Magazine's top "Twenty Speed Parts that Changed the World", the Edelbrock Slingshot intake manifold was the first of many great products to come from Edelbrock. For 2009 Edelbrock is re-releasing this iconic design for 1938-48 Flathead Fords, available under part number (#1103). The Slingshot's "Y" configured dual carburetor flanges will accept Stromberg®, Holley® and Demon® two barrel carburetors and accommodates the period correct generator mounting.

DEI has just introduced the Fire Wrap 3000, a high-temperature-resistant sleeving to insulate wires, cables hoses, fuel and brake lines from not only underhood heat, but hot oil spills, moisture, harsh abrasions and most chemicals. Constructed of a glass fiber sleeve, the Fire Wrap 3000 features a heavily coated outer sleeve with a proprietary compound consisting of iron silicone rubber capable of withstanding repeated exposure up to 3,000°F (1,650°C) and direct temperatures up to 500°F (260°C). It features a Velcro hook-and-loop-closure edge that makes installation simple.
