Fatman’s “Affordable IFS” is an excellent choice for Model A, ’32 Fords, 28-33 GM cars, and early Mopars with similar fenders which fit directly to the frame. Rather than modifying a MII IFS to fit, with all the attendant track width and bumpsteer problems, this IFS design provides a 56” track width and rear steer rack and pinion which will clear fenders and radiator aprons while maintaining proper geometry.

Jim Meyer Racing Products has released a new bolt-in IFS for 1964 ˝–1970 Mustangs. With reprogrammed suspension geometry, reduced anti-drive and adjustable stance, the new rear-steer A-arm IFS offers tight rack-and-pinion steering, 11-inch vented disc brakes with disc brake options, aluminum adjustable coil-over shocks and a 1-inch anti-sway bar. It also includes tubular A-arms (not Mustang II), and removable steering arms.

The new IFS features a tighter-than-stock turning radius, and the caster and camber weight is loaded onto the frame instead of the inner fender panel, which means there’s no need for tower supports, said the company. The rear steering bracket sits above the front-sump oil pans and will clear Patriot headers. The upper A-arms include left- and right-hand threaded adjusters for easier alignment.

The new Select Series damper from RideTech is a steel-bodied, monotube damper that offers two sets of independent internal valve stacks, which allows the user to choose between a soft “cruise” mode and a firmer “sport” mode for handling performance.
In default mode (no power applied) the lower valving stack is engaged and will provide a compliant ride, ideal for cruising.

When power is applied through a dash-mounted push button, the upper valve stack is engaged to firm up the damping and provide extra handling performance.
The Select Series damper is available in coil-over, ShockWave (airspring), or as a stand-alone configuration with no surrounding spring. The damper offers superior oil control over a wide range of road and track surfaces, said the company.

Like most old trucks, their chassis can show considerable wear after all these years. We offer a safe, strong, and good looking chassis built to Chevy’s original specs that will accept original sheetmetal and reproduction fiberglass body parts. With its heavy-gauge, fully-boxed rails and stout crossmembers, this new chassis will perform exceptionally well under a modern hot rod.
