Installing 6 lug disc brake kit with booster on a 1959 1/2 ton swb fleet side truck

I was just wondering if any one else had to remove the parking brake pulley in order to fit the master cylinder and brake booster on the frame? I just wanted to make sure before I drill new holes in my frame to relocate the pulley further back. None of the documentation I have mentions this as a necessary step but there was no way I could install the new bracket and booster assembly with out removing the bracket completely. Thanks.
