I am trying to convert my '50 Ford F3 to disc brakes in the front. Since no one makes a kit for this i must assemble one from various components and fab my own caliper mounting brackets.
My question is do fixed mount calipers ( as apposed to floating mount) place a bending force on the front spindle when applied hard? Was told this by a "professional" mechanic, but would like more imput.
Thanks
