• Troy Trepanier's Latest Creation

Anyone into cars knows the name Troy Trepanier, and what he and his team at Rad Rides by Troy are capable of building. One of Troy's latest endeavors is an 1987 Camaro owned by Joe Lendway, a GM engineer. Camaro's are hot right now, and the designs put into this car will yet again "raise the bar" and set new standards in the street machine world. Every body panel on the car has been redesigned with all body mods crafted in steel, with the exception of nose of the car, which is constructed completely out of aluminum.

The car is powered by a fuel injected twin turbocharged 406ci SBC connected to a 4L80E transmission, a Mark Williams third member with an Eaton locker. All this power is bolted in an Art Morrison chassis with C6 Corvette suspension, 14" brakes and custom 20" x 10" Billet Specialties wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich tires.
Other custom features include a RadRides built intake, Big Stuff 3 engine management system and a custom dual three inch Flowmaster exhaust using Hushpower mufflers built into the rockers with a side exit. The side exhaust not only adds to the aesthetics of the design, but also allows the use of a full belly pan design for the ultimate in ground effects.

It's pretty obvious this car will be capable of anything "GM Joe" wants to take on, whether its autocross, drag racing, setting a land speed record at Bonneville, or just out hunting for prey on the Autobahn. Get an up close look at the car at upcoming 2011 Goodguys events.

Sorry, but it looks like something from the Tokyo JDM ricer style. I admire the skill it took to build it, but the style is not to my taste

I agree completely, sorry but this is not what most people want to see when looking at an extensively modified (and expensive) Camaro. I hope the owner likes it when it is done but I am sure most people will think it is in poor taste. It will be one of those hi-dollar cars that everyone will pass by at the Camaro car shows.
